Bell Tower History
I recall that on a previous visit to the Island we were told that the BELL TOWER was built specifically to "annoy" the Wrigley Family.....the chimes were said to be in response to "noisy" parties held by the Wrigleys and their friends?????

The tower was built by the request of Mrs. Ada Wrigley, the wife of William Wrigley. She was said to have built the tower to annoy the writer Zane Grey, of whom she had a grudge against.
