Family History in Catalina
My wife's parents lived in Avalon in the late 50's and worked in many of the bars and restaurants that were around that time. Bill and Jean Slaughter were there names. They were friends with many of the long time locals. They moved to Orange County in the early 60's but continued to come back to Avalon. My wife remembers riding the Catalania steamship over, hanging out with "Uncle Ralph" who was someone that everyone knew and who was good friends with her parents. Im sure most of the people involved are long gone but maybe someone related will see this and possbily have some old pictures.
